Melanie and Matt’s Bohemian wedding at Stable Cafe was as colorful and unique as San Francisco itself. It is a gem of a location in a secluded courtyard with twisting vines and lush trees in a residential Mission District neighborhood. This allowed for the wedding and reception to be both an intimate and inviting experience.
They started their day by getting ready at Hotel Zetta in SOMA. Melanie surprised us all with a handmade Bohemian inspired halo for her hair. This put her look over the top into the epic category. The bouquet was an etherial arrangement, featuring peonies, which exuded Summer and brought a smile to everyone’s face.
We planned enough time for a first look in the lobby of the hotel. Matt’s reaction was priceless. We then headed to the Ferry Building for portraits with streetcars and the glorious views of the Bay. We then hit the Mission for images with the famous neighborhood murals. I love when couples want to have fun and play with the city!
The ceremony was officiated by two of their friends. It was Hindu inspired and had beautiful rituals that meant a great deal to the couple. I can honestly say that some of these details were unforgettable. The table in the back of the property was filled with lit pink tapered candles in brass holders. If you can believe it, Matt actually created the macrame altar piece and dream catchers. The combination of these delightful touches with the evening sky, twinkling lights and candles made for a romantic evening. Instead of cake, guests enjoyed artisan ice cream sandwiches. How fun…Congratulations to this lovely couple!
